David Christopher Keil leads our technology segment out of Silicon Valley, Hong Kong and China. Mr. Keil brings experience in venture capital, entrepreneurial and operational experience to the team. Mr. Keil has a deep understanding of worldwide commercial development, marketing, sales and business development with over 20 years of experience in the software, semiconductor, system, energy, and intellectual property (IP) and communications markets bringing technology to revenue. Mr. Keil’s deep technical background in data, artificial intelligence and machine learning will contribute greatly to new opportunities in the M&A markets. Previously, Mr. Keil was managing partner at TekStart, a global investment and advisory firm focused on deep technology. Mr. Keil has been the founder and CEO of numerous companies and has held management roles at RMI (Acquired by Netlogic Systems), Novocell Semiconductor (acquired by Microchip), Virage Logic (acquired by Synopsys), Identifi Technologies, LSI Logic (acquired by Avago) and as a venture capitalist with Vennworks, a $150 million venture fund focused on early stage investments.
Mr. Keil holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Mr. Keil has served on numerous corporate boards, been an advisor to over 50 companies, associations and councils and has presented to a significant number of organizations, universities and at worldwide conferences on business principles, start-ups, development and the industry related efforts. Mr. Keil has been a board member of the World Semiconductor Trade Statistics, SIA IP Committee, and the Kellogg Alumni Network and other not-for-profit organizations.
